I've gotten into this new habit. I've started deleting people from my Facebook "friends" list who make public comments on Facebook about hating baby pictures, how people post too much about babies, etc, etc etc. By the way, they usually post a comment like that after posting 1,000 pictures of their dog/cat/vacation nobody cares about (as if THEY post pictures more interesting than babies...yeah....right).
I'm pretty passionate about the whole thought. It's not because I'm offended that people don't like looking at other people's baby pictures. I get that...sort of. My thing is that, if you don't like what someone posts on Facebook, why are you still friends with them? The reality is that Facebook users fall into only a few different categories.
You've got....the moms/dads.....who post tons of pictures of their kids
You've got....the single party girls/boys....who post tons of pictures of themselves drinking alcoholic beverages
You've got....the creepers....who never post anything but are always creeping on other people's profiles
You've got....the braggers...who only post pictures/posts about their many accomplishments
You've got....the debbie-downers....who only post things about how much their life sucks and then proceed to post emo-pictures of themselves
You've got....the politicians....who are 100% sure they can convert all of their friends to their political party.
Okay, so not a short list, but at least a defined set of groups that you can find on Facebook no matter who you are and how many people you are friends with.
I, obviously, fall into category #1 on the list above. I've dabbled in the politician & single party girl categories, however, I'm definitely in the "mom" group now. The thing is, I wouldn't (and won't) change a thing about it.
Sometimes I think that people forget WHY people post the things they do on Facebook. The motivation for my joining cateogry #1 explains why I believe people shouldn't find it so annoying that I post thousands of pictures of M.D. every day (not really thousands...)
I have friends & family all across this wonderful country. No, not just one great-aunt out in California, and a "guy I went to high school with" who now lives in Vegas. No, I legitimately do have friends & family all across the country (and, at given times, the world).
See, 2 of my best girlfriends don't even live in this State....or the State next to me!
My friends also like to, once every few years, come up to me and exclaim, "I'm going to Africa!" or "I'm going to England!" to which I used to cry and be depressed, but now it's so par-for-the-course I am no longer surprised...just supportive :)
One ENTIRE side of my extended family lives in different State(s) than the one I currently live in, and in different States from one another.
My own parents & siblings live 1.5 hrs away, which means that visits are frequent, but not on a weekly basis.
All of these people want to see M.D. I'm not making that up. I'm not being pompous or bragging. They really do. You could ask them if you want.
So, instead of figuring out how to mass-text every adorable picture I take of M.D. to ALL OF THESE PEOPLE. I put them on Facebook. And I don't care if other people don't like it.
This brings me back to the whole de-friending concept. I am doing this. It's kind of exciting actually. Usually, when I defriend someone, it's because I've decided we don't really hang out, talk or have anything that connects us (besides being Facebook friends), and then I feel guilty and don't want to de-friend them, but I do anyways (sometimes). Now at least I have a reason.
To be honest, I don't even feel like it's my job to do the de-friending. Everybody that is "friends" with me on Facebook KNOWS that I post tons of pictures & videos of M.D. It's been that way for 9 months. It's no secret anymore. So why, if people get so annoyed with it, aren't I being de-friended? I have no problem de-friending people who I think only put useless pieces of information on their facebook status'. If we have nothing else bonding us besides Facebook, and your Facebook page is driving me nuts, whelp that's the end of that.
So, If my pictures & videos really drive you that nutty, then de-friend me. I won't be offended. We just have different interests :)

Our week in pictures...
Missing:
Still to come are photos of our "finished product" from this weekend. Grandpa John E. & Uncle Mark came up to visit and we planted lilac bushes along the back of the house. This was (as you may remember) one of the house projects I had hoped to accomplish. They look awesome!
Your Homework
If you haven't seen this...Conversations with My 2 Year Old....watch it.
If you haven't heard this...Boys 'Round Here...listen to this. (Side-Note. I'm pretty sure my Dad will hate this song more than any song he's ever hated in his life. :) But I LOVE IT!
If you haven't laughed at this...Prancercise...you're going to DIE. Honestly. I can't believe this is real. And after watching it...check out her website.
